‘River of Light’ 2010 Vanessa Dell, (Lead Artist), Bletchley Leasure Centre

This piece of art is called River Of life. This art is of a river going into light. The river represents leisure and fun because in the olden days people did not have swimming pools, so instead they went swimming in rivers. It is made out of fiber-optic, marballs, stone and paint.

We saw this this art out-side the Bletchley Leisure Center and we thought it would look good for our website.

I think the snow looks really nice and we want more of it.

Unknown, Sherwood Drive, outside Challange House

The sculpture that we photographed this week is like anther sculpture that we have seen and plan to photograph. I think that the two sculptures are by the same artist, but I could not find any information about today's sculpture on the Internet. The two sculptures look alike because they both have steps leading up to the top and I think they look like the steps up to a climbing frame. All three of us wanted to climb it but it was wet.

The two sculptures are different because the sculpture we have photographed today is orange and the sculpture that we have seen is white. The white sculpture is by Bernard Scottlander and we have photographed two other sculptures by him which are in the same place as the white one. By Olivia

Fireworks, Bletchley Park. Nov 6

There were lots of fireworks. They were big. It was a day after fireworks night that it happened.
I think that the fireworks were not art because art does not go in the air.

2MS series No 4: Bernard Schottlander, 1968-70 Public Gardens, Witan Gate

This sculptures name is 2MS series No 4 and is in Witan Gate in the Public Gardens. It is made by an artist called Bernard Schottlander. It is made out of Painted Steel.

The artist has done many other sculptures including the red sculpture made out of the same materials that is called 3B series No 2. It is the second sculpture from Bernard Schottlander that we have photographed. There is another artwork at the same place painted white that we will photograph soon.

The unusual thing about this sculpture is that when you look from different angles it looks like it is another sculpture.

Embrace: John Wragg, 1966 Grafton Park

Happy 50th Blog Entry

This sculpture is called Embrace and the artist who made the sculpture is called John Wragg.

My opinion of the sculpture is that it was dirty and could of been a bit cleaner.
I think where the sculpture was placed was great because you could see the sculpture from the road.

I think the sculpture looks like a an electricity power maker where it goes in one way and then flows into the ground. The gap at the top in the middle makes the electricity look like you can see it flow. Dad says I am thinking of a spark gap.

The sculpture was first placed in King's road in London. It had been vandalized many times. Sainsbury decided to buy it and they have put it in Grafton Park.

3B series No 2: Bernard Schottlander, 1968-70 Public Gardens, Witan Gate

This sculpture is orange-red and it was wet at the time we went. I think it looks a bit like a symbol because it is in the shape of a M when you look from a angle. When I was there I thought that the area that the sculpture was in looked like a maze because it has lots of tall bushes and with lots of bunches of trees that were tiny and dotted around.

Bernard Scottlander was the man who made this sculpture, and was born in Germany died in 1999.

Bounding Bull, Dominic Benhura, 2005, MK Open university

The artist Dominic Benhura was born in 1968 in Murewa.
What I thought was interesting about the bull was that a bull doesn't usually have a hump so it makes the bull look like it has a seat on the back .
I like the way that Dominic has contrasted the colours so that it looks like he has made patches for the bull.
