Goose Sculpture, Unknown, Bletchley Park

This picture is of us in Bletchley park with a goose sculpture. The writing below the goose says "The geese who laid the golden eggs and never cackled" and was written by a wartime prime minister called Winston Churchill.

The geese represents the Bletchley park code breakers, and the golden eggs represent the German secrets that they kept.

This sculpture was made from rock called marble. I like this sculpture because I like the feel of it.

Circle of Light: Liliane Lijn, 1980 Midsummer Arcade

This sculpture is called Circle Of Light.

We decided we should photograph this sculpture because it was the near and because it was the raining. The sculpture is in the Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre.

To take the picture with me and my sisters, we had to stand next to the wind chimes and our dad sat on the floor.

We had a big big break in the holidays because we went on our holidays to Swanage first, then Devon then Germany.

Equatorial Sundial, Wendy Taylor 1981-82. Cable & Wireless, Bletchley

This the sculpture is called the Equatorial Sundial . It was designed by Wendy. Their is also a sundial in London but it is a bit different to the Equatorial Sundial it is called the Timepiece.
I thought it looked like a satellite.

Wendy Taylor has made Timepiece, the Compass bowl and the Opus and also she has designed many more.
We have photographed the Octo and Essence and the Equatorial Sundial which was also made by Wendy Taylor.

We asked the security wether we could photograph the sundial because it was on private property.

Church Cross: Alan Evans, 1991 Church of Christ the Cornerstone

This piece of art is on the top of the church.

To get us in the picture we stood on a curvy bench and it helped a lot because we had taken the picture so that our heads were next to the art.

I don't think it is art on the top of a church because it is more like a cross.

The Meeting: Nicolas Moreton, 1995 City Square, outside Marks and Spencer

This sculpture was outside the Milton Keynes shopping center. We had noticed that it was shaded behind the bush of flowers.

The sculpture was made out of stone and there was also little golden bits made from gold paint. We knew it was not real gold because it would cost millions of pounds if it was. The sculpture was Egyptian Hieroglyphs. In the circle there was North East South West and the sculptures were pointing at the South direction.

Gnomon (Shadow Caster): Peter Bowker, 1994. Campbell Park

This sculptures is in Campbell park on the cricket pitch. It looks like a wicket for cricket, with a ball on the wicket saying that the player is out.
I thought that the sculpture was dirty and could of been a bit cleaner.
I think the sculpture was in a good place because everybody can see it.
The wicket legs are straight and round but these were not.
There were seats on the grass and they were very steep but we ran down them anyway.
